Documents and local storage
PDF and image contents are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to our server. Files, thumbnails, names, page counts and creation dates are kept in browser storage such as IndexedDB. Language preferences are also stored locally. Documents can remain until you delete them or the browser clears site data. When persistent storage is unavailable, temporary documents may disappear when the tab closes. OCR engine and language files are downloaded from this site and may be cached in your browser. Recognized text is edited in the open OCR window; you manage copied or downloaded text separately.
Connection data and advertising
Hosting provider Cloudflare may process IP addresses and connection logs to deliver and secure the service. Public guides and FAQ pages may display Google AdSense ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this or other websites. Advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. Advertising services may process IP addresses, browser/device information and ad interactions. We do not include advertising scripts on document editing, storage or preview screens.
Your advertising choices
Manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center and review Google policies using the links below. Where an applicable consent message is shown, select consent and preference options there. Use browser settings to delete or block cookies. Clearing all site data can also delete your stored PDFs.
Email and rights requests
When you email us, we process your email address and supplied details to investigate and reply. Do not send sensitive documents or identity documents. We retain correspondence only as needed to handle the request, then delete it unless retention is legally required. Send access, correction or deletion requests to our contact email. We cannot access or restore files held only in your browser.
External services and changes
Manage downloaded or shared copies in the relevant device or app. Google and hosting-provider policies also apply to their processing. We update this page and its revision date when this policy changes.
