App Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy applies to the PDF Helper mobile app. The service operates as PDF Helper. Contact: [email protected]. Website advertising and website usage are covered separately by the website privacy policy.

Documents and photos

Selected photos and PDFs are processed on your device for scan correction, PDF creation, merging and editing, photo layouts and splitting, and background removal. Document contents, photos, filenames and results are not uploaded to our servers. The background-removal model and PDF processing assets are bundled with the app.

Storage and deletion

Saved documents, titles, page counts and creation dates are stored locally inside the app. Use My documents to delete individual documents or all documents. Photo editing work remains temporary until you export its result. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data can remove documents and settings. There is no automatic synchronization with the website or other devices. Export important files to Files or another location.

Permissions and sharing

The camera is used when you choose to capture a document. System photo and file pickers import the items you select. You can still import files if camera access is denied. Sharing or exporting sends the selected file to the app or location you choose. Temporary share exports older than one day are removed at a subsequent app launch. Manage files saved to other apps and device backups separately through their settings.

Accounts, advertising and tracking

The app has no account registration, direct cloud-account connections, advertising SDKs, or our own analytics or tracking tools. It does not provide an additional app-level encrypted vault. External websites and other apps have their own privacy policies.

Support and visiting this page

If you email support, we process your email address and message to respond. You do not need to attach original documents or sensitive information. Send requests to delete support correspondence to the same email address. When you visit this policy on the website, Cloudflare may process connection information such as your IP address to deliver and secure the page. Reading the bundled policy inside the app does not require visiting the website.

Changes

We update this policy and its revision date when app functionality or data practices change.
